
Mr. David Hutcheson is a native Houstonian who graduated from the University of North Texas where he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in History and Radio-Television-Film. It was at the NAU Newman Center in 2012 where Mr. Hutcheson, along with his future wife, were received into the Catholic Church under the patronage of St. John the Evangelist. After his first child was born, he moved with his family back to Houston where he embarked upon a career in education.
Mr. Hutcheson was offered his first full-time teaching position in 2017 at Resurrection Catholic School in Houston’s Fifth Ward where he taught Middle School Religion and History for a year. For the next three years, he taught Middle School History at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Houston. In 2018, Mr. Hutcheson earned his M.Ed. with Curriculum & Instruction from Houston Baptist University.
Mr. Hutcheson enjoys playing guitar, collecting books, and spending time with his family.
He is honored to be part of the Saint Theresa staff and values its identity as both a Catholic school and a Classical school. As a teacher, he takes inspiration from Marshall McLuhan’s motto, “The life of a believer, fortified by the teachings of the Church, is the supreme human adventure.”
