I was raised on an idyllic family farm in Ontario with 12 brothers and sisters, learning self-discipline and the art of caring for others early in life. I was awarded the prestigious Canada Graduate Scholarship to fund my doctoral research into medieval Latin and Church history. I also served as a Latin instructor at St. Philip’s Seminary in Toronto, where I taught many future priests and clerics. During summer breaks from my intense academic studies, I particularly enjoyed working with people with special needs and planting trees in the forests of Northern Canada. I will defend my dissertation in Medieval Latin texts at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Medieval Studies in November of 2018.
I am very excited to be joining the faculty of Saint Theresa Catholic School. I am very impressed by the curriculum the school offers and I know from personal experience the value of a classical education.
