I earned a bachelor of science degree in dietetics from Louisiana State University, but fell in love with teaching young children in a Catholic School setting 24 years ago. Since that time, I have pursued my passion in teaching in early childhood programs. Originally from Plaquemine, Louisiana, I grew up in a small town where practically everyone I knew was Catholic. I am part of a large family that was closely associated with the local school system, where both my parents worked as educators.
I have worked in Catholic pre-school and public education settings. I am certified in early childhood through fourth grade, and have found the many years of teaching preschool, kindergarten, and first grade to be most rewarding.
My husband, Vincent, and I have five grown children and just welcomed our first granddaughter into the world. We enjoy cooking, hiking, and camping. We love to visit historic Catholic churches and had the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Fatima this past summer for the centenary celebration of the Marian apparitions there.
I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing school with its unique curriculum, as I bring my love for our Lord and my experience to teach and serve the children of Saint Theresa.
