I am a native of Akron, Ohio and the youngest of three children. Early on I garnered a great love for the outdoors and have enjoyed hiking, camping, and being outside ever since.
Having attended Catholic schools for my entire academic career, I always felt called to serve the Church. After earning an undergraduate degree in History from Saint Edward’s University in Austin, I went on to spend time in seminary formation. While in formation I earned a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston. During this time, I discerned that I was not called to orders, but was sure that I wanted to remain near the heart of the Church. Only one vocation could fulfill that desire: teaching.
I view teaching as a great privilege, for a teacher becomes a co-worker with parents in the formation of their children. Furthermore, I find much value in the classical model of education. I am looking forward to beginning my career in a school that takes such care in forming young people in the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition. I look forward to getting to know the families, faculty, and staff at Saint Theresa Catholic School.
