Safe Environment Program
The Archdiocese of Galveston Houston has implemented a new Safe Environment Program called CMG, which has replaced the former Safe Environment Program (VIRTUS “Protecting God’s Children”). All trainings will be held online only and can be completed remotely from any location. This training consists of three 60-minute training videos available in English and in Spanish. This training also includes a criminal background check.
New Volunteers:
- 18 years of age and older must complete the new training and background check to volunteer for service. Time for approval may be approximately two weeks or less.
- Everyone must renew the Safe Environment Training every five years to continue volunteer service.
