It is with justifiable pride that we acknowledge our Latin students for their achievements on a national level. Of the 23 students in Grades 7 and 8, thirteen of them have garnered honors for their performance on the National Latin Exam. In addition to individual student certificates, our school has earned a certificate for our participation in the National Latin Exam–a highly esteem assessment of Latin students’ skill–in which all 50 states compete as well as students from 24 foreign countries. Our thanks to Dr. Dean Cassella for developing an impressive Latin program!
Beginning with Grade 7, three students have earned a certificate with the recognition magna cum laude: Dallas Copelin, Geneva Perry, and Isabela Corridore.
These seventh graders have earned a certificate and a silver medal with the recognition maxima cum laude: Angie Nguyen, David Trinh, and Melina Hickel.
These 7th graders have earned a certificate and a gold medal, recognized for their performance summa cum laude: Ethan Mendoza and Lucille Newcomb.
In 8th grade, a certificate and silver medal—maxima cum laude—is given to these students: Mary Margaret Speed, Gabriela Chapa, and Ikeobasi Ezike.
Among the eighth graders, one student earned both a certificate and a gold medal summa cum laude: Sophia Pertez.
