Welcome to Saint Theresa
At Saint Theresa Catholic School, we believe faith and reason are like two wings that allow the human spirit to rise toward truth.
Our school motto is Fides et Ratio
faith and reason
Saint Theresa Catholic School serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Applying to Saint Theresa
We accept applications for students entering Pre-Kindergarten 3 through any grade level with available openings for the upcoming school year.
To ensure we can best serve our students, Saint Theresa Catholic School enrolls a limited number of students in each grade level. As a result, applications are not always available for every grade.
When you begin an application, you will see the grade levels currently open for admission. Availability may change throughout the year as enrollment decisions are made, so we encourage families interested in a particular grade level to check back periodically.
If the grade level you are seeking is not currently accepting applications, we invite you to join our interest list by clicking here. We will gladly notify you if a space becomes available.
Apply NowApplication Process
Pre-Kindergarten 3 – 1st Grade
- Submit your application starting on January 1, 2027. Applications will close when there are no remaining spots. Applications require a non-refundable fee of $150.
- Request school records, which should include the end-of-year report card from the previous year and the current progress report or report card. Additionally, submit any standardized test scores, especially for Kindergarten and 1st Grade (NWEA MAP, STAAR, Terra Nova, etc.). These records are to be submitted as part of the application.
- Submit a copy of the applicant’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Education Service Plan (ESP), if applicable.
- Submit a birth certificate with the application.
- Plan to send the teacher recommendation form. Upon submitting the formal application, you will be prompted to submit a teacher’s name and email address. The teacher recommendation form contains pre-set, confidential questions. Please notify your teacher so they can look for the email notification and complete it promptly. Shadow Days cannot commence until we receive the teacher recommendation form. We require one teacher recommendation form for every grade level. If your child has not attended school yet, consider having a Mother’s Day Out teacher, coach, day care provider, caretaker, or any non-parental figure complete the form. Parents and grandparents cannot complete the form for the applicant. If there is truly no teacher figure of any kind, this portion may be skipped for now as we continue to discuss options with the parents.
Once the above information has been received and processed by Saint Theresa Catholic School, parents will be contacted regarding the next step in the application process.
- Complete a Shadow Day by February 15, 2027. The Shadow Day will last a different duration depending on the grade level. The Shadow Day for PK 3 will be a play date for a couple of hours. The PK 4 Shadow Day will be a half day from 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. most Mondays – Thursdays. The Shadow Day for Kindergarten will be from 8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. most Mondays – Thursdays and will include a short assessment. The 1st Grade Shadow Day will be from 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will include a comprehensive entrance exam.
- Attend a family interview by February 26, 2027. The family interview will take place during the school day. Both parents/guardians and the applicant are required to be present.
If admission is granted, parents will receive a letter from the Head of School stating the child’s provisional or probationary acceptance to Saint Theresa Catholic School. Parents must then ensure the following to secure a seat for the requested school year:
- Submission of a completed STCS student enrollment packet
- Submission of the non-refundable New Student $150 Enrollment Fee
- Enrollment in FACTS Management to create a tuition payment and incidentals account
Timelines and due dates are expected to be followed; however, they may be modified at the discretion of the school based on availability, admissions decisions, or other circumstances.
