athletic-directorLamar Holt is our Athletic Director at Saint Theresa Catholic School. Mr. Holt brings a wealth of experience in youth sports to Saint Theresa Catholic School. A native New Yorker, he spent 20 years teaching Mathematics before coaching full time in the greater Houston area.

Before coming to Saint Theresa, Mr. Holt was the president and head coach of a nationally known AAU basketball program in Houston, Mr. Holt’s was challenged with providing a visible student-athlete experience while demanding academic excellence and keeping the program competitive on a national level. Mr. Holt was successful in structuring a youth basketball organization that has become a model for many youth programs, the integration of athletics, spirituality and academics. To that end, he has several student-athletes playing for or being recruited by Division I schools.

Mr. Holt spent three years at Bellaire Episcopal High School as an assistant varsity basketball coach where they were able to capture the SPC state championship. During his time at Episcopal, Mr. Holt was also head coach of the junior varsity basketball team and taught Mathematics.

Mr. Holt earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s in Math Education from Prairie View A&M in 1989 and 1992, respectively. Mr. Holt have six children, Morgan, Erin, Eden, Emrie, Jaden and Khloe. He is married to his wife, Angela.
